More than 80 counties and approximately 92,000 enrollees, at certain times during 2017, seemed to have no options on the Obamacare exchanges, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation.
However, after efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act fizzled, insurers circled back to these plan-less counties in an effort to stabilize the market and to make a profit, Politico reported.
The one bare county left in the country is Paulding County, Ohio, but Jillian Froment, director of the Ohio Department of Insurance said she's "hopeful" that insurers will step in to help.
